Gowling: Don't go for bad boy Joey

FORMER Bolton striker Alan Gowling has urged his old club not to sign ex-City bad boy Joey Barton. "I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole," said the M.E.N Sport columnist. "If I was Bolton I would stay as far away as I could. "Joey Barton would be a problem they don't need. Leopards can't change their spots and I think Barton has bad habits he can't control." Wanderers have been linked with a controversial loan move for the Newcastle midfielder.
