Representatives of over twenty Austrian companies and mayors of thirty Bulgarian municipalities attended Monday the meeting of the Vienna Economic Forum, which took place in the northern Bulgarian city of Pleven. The main topics of the event are the problems of transport, infrastructure, waste management, and water supply of Bulgarian municipalities. The President of the Vienna Economic Forum Erhard Busek is also present at the meeting in Pleven. "We are glad that Bulgaria is a member of the EU since 2007. This means not only many obligations but also many opportunities", Busek said adding that the aim of the forum was make constructive proposals for improving the absorption of EU funds.
