Posted to the web 27 June 2008 Sheikh Sharm-El-The Executive Committee of the African Union (AU) is to start this Friday, in Sharm El-Shaikh, Egypt, its 13th ordinary session of preparation of the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government, set for next Monday and Tuesday, ANGOP has learnt. The Angolan deputy Foreign Affairs minister, George Chicoty- on behalf of the incumbent minister, João Miranda, the dean for the southern Africa region- will lead the Angolan team to the meeting that is to analyse and debate a 30-point agenda. Topping the agenda are the reports of the chairperson of the AU Commission, of the Committee of Permanent Representatives, on the materialisation of the African Standing-by Force and on the promotion of maternal-infantile health in the continent.
