Lenexa, KS - SAFC Biosciences, a provider of cell culture materials and development services for upstream and downstream processes in the biopharmaceutical industry and a focus area within SAFC, a member of the Sigma-Aldrich Group, announced details of a key collaboration with Celltrion Inc., a South Korean biopharmaceutical company and operator of Asia's largest biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding, the two companies will embark on a two-year program regarding media optimization for large-scale cell culture processes used to manufacture biologically-active pharmaceutical ingredients.
