FREEPORT, Grand Bahama - There is no indication from the Isle of Capri Casino at the Our Lucaya Resort that it intends to abandon its operation in Grand Bahama, despite a recommendation that a U.S. based analyst made recently, according to Minister of Tourism Neko Grant. The government plans to inject a $2 million subsidy into the Isle of Capri Casinos at the Our Lucaya Resort, a move that could help the Grand Bahama operation which has been bending under the weight of its expenses. "We have not been advised by management of Isle of Capri that they intend to leave any time soon," Minister Grant said. In April, an official of the casino declined to endorse a recommendation made by analyst, Justin Sebastiano that the company should shut down its Bahamas operation.
