Sullivan is back; Cowens will stay BY KRISTA JAHNKE • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • June 14, 2008 The Pistons should have Michael Curry's coaching staff in place by early next week, team president Joe Dumars said Friday morning. One man is already on board -- former Pistons assistant Pat Sullivan. Curry has lured Sullivan back to Detroit from Lawrence Frank's staff in New Jersey, where he spent the last three seasons. He previously was an assistant on Larry Brown's staff and also served one season with the Pistons as a video coordinator. Sullivan played two seasons of college ball alongside Rasheed Wallace at North Carolina. The two also roomed together on the road. Pistons assistant Dave Cowens, who spent the last two seasons working under Flip Saunders, is also expected to return on Curry's staff, and Lindsey Hunter could also...
