Posted to the web 12 June 2008 Ndola THE Government has closed the Alliance University College in Ndola for allegedly operating illegally, leaving scores of students stranded. Copperbelt Minister, Mwansa Mbulakulima (below) announced the closure of the private institution, which is housed at the former Zambia Consumer Buying Corporation (ZCBC) supermarket in Kawama Township and operates under Alliance for World Mission. The minister made the announcement at a Press briefing after a lengthy meeting with university management, Ministry of Education officials and police at Cabinet office in Ndola yesterday. The institution has 78 students and charges K3.4 million per semester, which lasts for six months for diploma courses.
