Four seeded players lose in DFS Classic BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) — Four seeded players lost Tuesday in the DFS Classic, a Wimbledon warm-up. In the second round, fourth-seeded Sybille Bammer lost to a British wild card, Melanie South, 6-3, 7-5, while No. 9 Tamira Paszek of Austria and 13th-seeded Aravane Rezai also lost. No. 16 Anastasia Rodionova was defeated in the first round. Six seeds have now been knocked out — 10th-seeded Akgul Amanmuradova and 14th-seeded Jill Craybas lost on Monday — in a tournament hit by the high-profile withdrawals of second-ranked Maria Sharapova, defending champion Jelena Jankovic and French Open finalist Dinara Safina.
