Papago course renovation is long overdue

On Friday, Phoenix councilman Greg Stanton will stick a shovel in the dirt at Papago Golf Course during a groundbreaking ceremony that will signal the course’s closure and, ultimately, its rebirth in eight months under the guidance of the Arizona Golf Association.
