Houston Dynamo have extended their lead in the US's Major League Soccer to four points with a 1-0 away win at Kansas City Wizards. The sole goal came against the run of play from Houston's first effort of the game in the 18th minute. Defender Mike Chalaba crossed for Sierra Leone international striker Kei Kamara, who used his height to head home what proved the winner. Kansas City were strong early but could not find the net. In Ohio, Columbus Crew extended their unbeaten streak at home to 17 games by holding DC United to a 1-1 draw. The visitors took the lead in the 33rd minute through Argentine midfielder Christian Gomez and controlled play for much of the game, but Venezuelan forward Alejandro Moreno scored an equaliser in the 59th minute.
