Three Rock Cats pitchers combined on a two-hitter in the first game and Portland was limited to six hits in the second as New Britain swept an Eastern League doubleheader Wednesday night in Portland, Maine. New Britain won both seven-inning games, 3-1. Frank Mata allowed two hits and one run in 3 2/3 innings in the first game for New Britain and Jose Lugo (2 1/3 innings) and Anthony Slama (one inning) didn't allow a hit in relief.
