Egypt Recall Mohamed Zidan But Shut Out Mido For Algeria Clash (Goal.com)

Samm Audu, Goal.com 14 minutes ago Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan has been handed a recall by Egypt. However, former Middlesbrough striker Mido was again overlooked by his country ahead of next month's crunch World Cup qualifier against Algeria. Zidan was not considered for selection when he stayed away from a friendly against Guinea in Cairo in August. He has since apologised for coach Hassan Shehata. But there is still no place for Mido, who last featured for Egypt in March. The controversial striker has yet to attain full match fitness since he rejoined childhood club Zamalek on loan from Boro.
