Post Amnesty - 7,000 Ex-Militants for Documentation in Rivers

Owerri — Over 7,000 ex-militants in the Niger Delta region are to be documented in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for training and re-retraining in various fields of their choice. They are also to benefit from the Federal Government's financial assistance, the Amnesty Committee member and Military Coordinator in-charge of Rivers State, Major Mohammed Bako Shehu, has revealed. Shehu, who was also dispatched to Imo State to conduct the documentation of the ex-militants from the state noted that the bio-metric machines deplored to document the ex-militants were not enough to do the job and advised them to exercise some patience to enable him round up in Port Harcourt.
