Hawaii County fire rescue crews are conducting a shoreline and ocean search in the Keahole Point area for a woman reported missing yesterday. Hawaii County police have identified the woman as 41-year-old Tomoko Ioh. Police say she left her home about 10:30 yesterday morning. Her vehicle was found about 6 p.m. near the ocean thermal energy conversion plant at Keahole Point. Crews searched the area until about 9 p.m. and were to resume operations at first light today.
