By Patrick Saunders The Denver Post This week, I suspect, the Rockies will give general manager Dan O'Dowd and manager Jim Tracy new contracts. It will be a celebratory moment, full of optimism. But soon after O'Dowd and Tracy sign on the dotted line, they'll have to confront some realities facing the team. To provide the duo with a jump start, I'm offering three pertinent numbers. .259: The Rockies won 17 games in their last at-bat in 2009, including eight walkoff wins. It made for plenty of drama, but far too many times the Rockies left runners stranded on base in the middle innings.
