August 2, 2009 - California League (CalL) San Jose Giants Craig Clark worked seven scoreless innings to win his 12th consecutive decision and Dan Runzler pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the eighth en route to picking-up the save as the San Jose Giants blanked the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 2-0 on Saturday evening at Municipal Stadium. Clark held the Quakes to three hits during his stint on the mound while Runzler recorded the final five outs of the contest to preserve the shutout. The victory improves San Jose's overall record to 70-37 - tops in the California League. Clark (13-2) became the first 13-game winner in the California League as the left-hander has gone 15 straight appearances without suffering a defeat (12-0).
