Jack Walker's 4-Hit, 4-Rbi Night Leads Vermont To 8-2 Win Wednesday

July 2, 2009 - New York-Penn League (NYPL) Vermont Lake Monsters FISHKILL, NY --- Jack Walker went 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles and four RBI to lead the Vermont Lake Monsters to an 8-2 victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades at Dutchess Stadium in a New York-Penn League game that was delayed by rain at the start and did not begin until 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday night. Walker's big night started with a leadoff double in the second inning and then he singled in the fourth inning to load the bases with no outs. Hudson Valley starter Kyle Lobstein got a force out and fly out, but could not work out of the jam as Francisco Soriano singled into left field to plate Justin Bloxom with the game's first run.
