Personal struggles inspire sisters' business Leticia Gonzales Special to The Free Press MANKATO — Sisters Amy Roach and Darolyn Juberien gave their new store, Inspire Boutique, an appropriate name, considering inspiration is what led to its creation. Both women have had to deal with two separate challenging experiences. Roach’s son, 14, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma (a form of cancer) when he was 8 months old, while Juberien, 45, had a golf ball-size tumor removed from her brain in March of last year. The tumor was benign, but the surgery caused partial facial paralysis and partial deafness in her left ear. The family’s experience dealing with these life challenges made them want to open a place where anyone going through personal trials could go.
