Mp brushes off criticism of Tehran visit from March 14 By Agence France Presse (AFP) Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Listen to the Article - Powered by BEIRUT: Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) leader and MP Michel Aoun said Monday that Iran was helping Lebanon to achieve national unity and dismissed criticism from his rivals at home about his visit to the Islamic Republic. "Iran is especially helping Lebanon today in confronting its problems and achieving national unity," he told a joint news conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki. "Iran never helped one Lebanese party against the others," added Aoun, whose FPM is allied with Hizbullah.
