Bushranger aimed at Deauville event

David Wachman is eyeing a trip to France for Bushranger following his fine effort in defeat at the Curragh last month. An impressive winner of the Group Three Anglesey Stakes on his penultimate start, the juvenile was stepped up to the highest level for the Phoenix Stakes and was not disgraced in finishing third behind impressive winner Mastercraftsman and Coventry Stakes hero Art Connoisseur. Sunday's Darley Prix Morny at Deauville is the likely next port of call for the son of Danetime, although a final decision will be made later in the week. 'Bushranger is in good form and has been working well since he ran at the Curragh last time,' said Wachman.
