A helicopter from RAF Boulmer took part in the rescue A man has died after falling ill while walking at Northumberland beauty spot, police said. The 66-year-old, of Chester-le-Street, County Durham, suffered breathing difficulties at Simonside Crag, near Rothbury, on Sunday afternoon. He was taken to Wansbeck General Hospital by an RAF Boulmer helicopter, where he was later pronounced dead.
