(LANCASTER, CA) - It was a gusty evening with the wind blowing out at Clear Channel Stadium, but the JetHawks pitched like they didn't notice. Three Lancaster hurlers combined to hold the High Desert Mavericks to only three hits, none after the second inning, as they opened up their final series against the Mavs this season with a 7-2 win. Lancaster's magic number to clinch the top seed in the Southern Division drops to ten with the victory. Early in the contest it looked to be a typically high scoring game between the JetHawks and the Mavericks.
