MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – August 15, 2008 - Ryan Bukvich allowed one hit in six shutout innings, pitching the Tides past the Charlotte Knights 4-3 in a rainy contest Friday night at Harbor Park. After the start of the game was delayed by rain for an hour and 48 minutes, Bukvich (8-2) worked around some wildness to give the Tides the win in the opener of their eight-game homestand. He yielded just a third inning double to Jason Bourgeois in his outing, working around six walks to earn his third straight victory. Bukvich is now 5-1 with a 2.51 ERA in 16 games (four starts) at Harbor Park this season. Tides closer Jim Miller surrendered a two-out run scoring single by Bourgeois in the 9th inning, but he retired Jerry Owens on a flyout to left to end the contest and pick up his 10th save of the season.
