The SEAT Sport UK driver posted a time of 54.204secs on his final lap of the 40 minute session to edge out team-mate Jason Plato by a tenth of a second, with the diesel-powered pair comfortably clear of third-placed Tom Onslow-Cole. The VX Racing man ended the session over eight-tenths of a second behind Turner, despite Turner taking a trip through the gravel while chasing his quickest time. Behind Onslow-Cole, Colin Turkington took fourth place for Team RAC, while Fabrizio Giovanardi and Matt Neal rounded out the top six – putting all three Vectras near the head of the field.
