By The Associated Press GREAT FALLS, Mont. _ A report by the Communications Workers of America says Montanans are stuck with some of the nation's slowest average Internet download speeds. The report released Tuesday says Montana is tied for 47th place with Wyoming with a median average download speed of 1.3 megabytes per second. That's based on data collected from May 2007 through May 2008. Two states with slower speeds were North Dakota at 1.2 megabytes per second; and Alaska, with 0.8 megabytes per second. The fastest state is Rhode Island, with 6.8 megabytes per second download speeds. East Coast states led the survey; Western states hit the bottom of the list.
