ESPN reports Iguodala and Sixers agree to deal

ESPN.com reported Tuesday that swingman Andre Iguodala and the 76ers have come to terms on a six-year, $80 million contract. ESPN.com cited league sources, which claimed “talks this offseason moved slowly until the last 24 hours, when the team significantly increased its offer.” Iguodala, a restricted free agent, would earn an average of $13.3 million if the report is accurate. The 24-year-old Iguodala turned down a five-year, $57 million offer last October. Had the Sixers not signed him by the start of this season, he would have played for a $3.8 million qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent in July.
