Marysville police arrested a knife-wielding man who held officers at bay with a knife for more than four hours Tuesday. By Seattle Times staff A Marysville man who held police at bay with a knife for more than four hours was taken into custody about 7 p.m. Tuesday. Marysville police Cmdr. Ralph Krusey said the man forced his way into a woman's apartment about 2 p.m., armed with a hammer, and began screaming at her. When police arrived, he retreated to his own apartment and armed himself with a kitchen knife, Krusey said. After unsuccessful attempts to talk the man out, officers broke into the man's apartment and arrested him. The suspect, in his 50s, was treated at a hospital for a minor injury and was to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary. The woman was...
