by Rachael Kimola - Story: 41039 The severe weather has passed by the Okanagan. An intense weather system brought heavy rain, high winds and even some hail to parts of the Okanagan Saturday. Meteorologist with Environment Canada, Lisa Coldwells, says in Kelowna, the storm was more on the east side of the lake. “Kelowna reported a total rainfall of 8.5 millimeters. There was some intense lightning, we were recording a lightning strike across the Okanagan every three to five seconds,” says Coldwells. She says the bad weather has moved on and by the middle of next week, Kelowna residents can expect to see temperatures in the 30s.
