Plumber Claims Virgin Mary In Rusty Drain

Restaurant Renovations Uncovered Sighting SALINAS, Calif. -- A plumber working on restaurant renovations in Salinas said he found the image of the Virgin Mary in a floor drain Wednesday. The man was working on the drainage system for the upcoming Old Town Bar & Grill restaurant, which is housed in the same building as a former Spados restaurant, when he noticed the strange image. The building has seen several ventures come and go in the past six years since Spados closed down, and the new owner said he sees the sign as a blessing of hope for the new restaurant. The Roman Catholic Church has very strict guidelines regarding what is deemed an official sighting of the Virgin Mary.
