Positive attitude can cure cancer

By Nivi Shrivastava New Delhi Cancer, the much-feared word has shattered many lives till date. In our country there are over eight lakh cases of cancer registered every year. But, if we look beyond this data there is another statistic, which rekindles lost hope. Every year out of the total cancer cases registered, about 40 per cent patients recover and survive. To carry forward this positive note among patients, Cancer Sahyog, an emotional support group of the Indian Cancer Society organised their annual seminar titled "A survivor’s journey towards wellness". More then the disease, the fear of facing the disease depresses patients, and once they decide to fight back with determination they win half the battle.
