Jeremy came to Newstin in June of 2006 to head up the sales efforts that were being put forth. Over his tenure at Newstin his job has morphed into a PR/Advertising position. Since the Newstin new business model Jeremy has taken on the role of Business Development Director where he is responsible for the advertising that is placed on the portal as well as developing and maintaining outside relationships. One major task that Jeremy is accredited for performing is creating the cohesion between the technology side of the business and the marketing side, making sure that the two aspects come together seamlessly. In further efforts of cohesion Jeremy works daily with the VP of Business Development and the Chief Marketing Officer to ensure effective and speedy communication between the three different viewpoints and also geographical locations.
Additionally Jeremy has been vital for public relations by traveling to conferences and meetings to represent the company; he has even been known to give an investment pitch or two.
At Newstin, Jeremy is the guy you go to if you want the answer to your questions to be put into easier-to-understand (non IT jargon) answers.
Prior to joining Newstin Jeremy spent his time as Program Manager for Icon Communications where he was responsible for the marketing campaign of a financial institution located in Germany.
He started his professional career in the political realm as a correspondent for the office of Policy and Initiatives for the Governor of Colorado. Following his tenure with the Governor Jeremy went on to run 2 simultaneous grassroots campaigns (State Senate & House) as Regional Director for Northern Colorado for a state coalition. During this time he was responsible for start-to-finish of the campaign, which ended very successfully.
Jeremy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University. He majored in Political Science and minored in History; all with a focus on Russian, Central, and Eastern European studies.
