Julius is the CTO of Newstin and is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the overall technological framework and structure. He has the coordination responsibility of all technology processes as he is responsible for the every day Newstin system operations. He also manages Newstin’s technology acquisitions and suppliers.

Alongside his open creativity to grow the site Julius can be viewed as the “Newstin Guru.” You have a question about Newstin, he’s your guy.

In the early stages, Julius was the designer of Newstin’s first data structure framework and process that have since been in use and Newstin continues to develop on. In accomplishing this mission Julius drew on his experience with large data structure development and management, requirements specification, and extensive language background.

Before development of Newstin, Julius was a member of the I2S reform team headed by Cubic Defense Applications to the Slovak Ministry of Defense, funded by the United States Government. He was the interface between the decision makers and the IT development and operations community, and is credited for his participation in the writing of the manual for personnel management and the concept document for PPBS*. He became part of high level political and military reform planning.

Julius has a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Economics, commercial services (focus: Internet) and tourism. He is passionate about new technologies and his background includes experience with programming languages and writing application code. He speaks fluently English, German and Czech, and his mother tongue is Slovak.
