Josef Vanzura, CFO

Josef is the Chief Financial Officer of Newstin. Josef has over 25 years managerial experience working on projects in the financial and banking sectors. He started his career as a project manager at the Institute of Building Projects. From 1985 to 1999 Josef was Credit Manager and then Executive Director of the Czech National Bank, where he was responsible for the privatization of commercial banks, currency and balance sheet split, strategy and management of financial controlling, audit strategy, principle of new ICT and organizational method, NATO national security strategy, HQ construction and reconstruction strategy and finally the management of business services. Josef was also Vice President of the Supervisory Board of ČSOB. From 1999 to 2000 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Project Management, Engineering and Consulting for Helika a.s. From 2000 to 2007 Josef held the positions of Executive Director and Managing Director for the Organization/IT at Česká Spořitelna and Živnostenská Banka, where he was responsible for project, process and demand management, Rules and Regulations, Cost cutting, right sizing, functional support SAP and setting up the central purchasing department. Prior to joining Newstin, Josef provided managerial services for Arthur D. Little GmbH.

Josef has a master’s degree from the Technical University of Prague and postgraduate studies in economic management with examinations in English, Russian, mathematics application, physics, economics, and management. He holds certificates from KPMG, the National Bank of England, the National Bank of Belgium, the Institute for International Research at Vienna and the Austrian Banker´s College International.
