| Description |
Join us for delicious wood-fired pizza as Slow Food Seattle teams up with Via Tribunali and Caffe Vita to build awareness about Terra Madre, and to raise funds to offset travel expenses for our local delegate.
The next edition of Terra Madre will take place October 23-27, 2008 in Turin, Italy, with a focus on Southern hemisphere producers, new attendees, and food scholars and educators. Learn more about Terra Madre and meet our featured delegate and former attendees.
Special treats will be offered by our generous hosts, representatives from Via Tribunali (a member of the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association) and Caffe Vita.
Terra Madre is an international network of over 7,000 food producers, cooks, and university educators from 150 countries, including over 800 delegates from the U.S. united by a common goal of global sustainability in food.
Across cultures and climates, the food communities of Terra Madre come together every two years to share innovative solutions and time-honored traditions for keeping small-scale agriculture and sustainable food production alive and well.
