Buzz this article up.

A reader says there was chatter to that effect this afternoon, as Netflix (NFLX) pushed 6% higher on high volume.

Would this make sense? Only if Best Buy (BBY) has been persuaded that the Blockbuster (BBI) - Circuit City (CCI) deal makes sense, which we certainly haven't.

On the "why not?" side, a Best Buy - Netflix combination would of course be vastly more powerful than a Blockbuster - Circuit City combination---because it would be two No. 1's vs. two No. 2's and because Netflix is stronger than Blockbuster in the only business that could provide real synergy: mail-order subscriptions and digital downloads.

Netflix has been a huge disappointment--constantly sending out broken dvds. It was such a waste of my money. Amazon dvd system is a lot better--I suggest anyone looking for a new outlet, check them.

I have netflix and only ever got one DVD that didnt work in a year but I'm still really happy with my membership, the movies are all unedited and I can get really foriegn and obscure films all the time if all you DVD's were cracked there was probably a problem with your mail service.

I have to say in five and a half years of Netflix membership I have had only two DVD's that were non-usable (and neither was broken, just wouldn't read). Netflix upon notifying immediately had a replacement in the mail. It's amazing that you have reported these problems and the root cause has not been found and corrected either by Netflix themselves or the USPS.
