LOL you BET we are on our way to having to bail out the government. Come on people! We are about to implode here. What's next? The "full faith and credit of the United States Government" turns into loan forgiveness? Remedy #1? Change this moronic mark-to-market the SEC poxed all our houses with, let everybody restate earnings to the "old-fashioned accounting rules" write the capital ratios back up, and deal with HOUSING. We are making this WAY more difficult that it has to be!
My heart is bleeding for OPEC. Can you imagine what that price will be once we get our act together here in the States, and go massively natgas and plug-ins? I can't wait to see the Saudis and Chavez bankrupted.
As a Reagan worshiper, I don't completely disagree with Paul. He is a raging liberal. He is however correct on what's comming at us. What he is missing is how to deal with it. Tax increases exacerbate the problem, and so far, we contemplate NO spending cuts. Has it occured to anyone that there are heartless realities we must face? Older people (this will include me in not that many years) will have to be stripped of Social Security, public schools won't be free, we will become more isolationist out of necessity because we won't be able to afford projecting our military power around the globe (we're broke) and so on. Years ago, Donald Trump once remarked that he was America's poorest citizen because he was hundreds of millions in debt. America fits that description today, as among all countries, we owe the most money per capita. Pathetic.
Jon, Jon, Jon. There you go again. You and I must be watching different sets of networks in different time warps. CNN was INVENTED to be the car chase network. It's what made Ted Turner wealthy enough to marry Hanoi Jane. To become a "highbrow political network" you need highbrow pundits. Well, ok, they do have David Gurgle. He's not really highbrow...he's Harvard. Could we compromise and call him "snooty"? He thinks his doesn't stink, and he's above the rest of "us". Then there's Bill Bennett. One time I saw them let him talk. Anderson Cooper. OK well we all know what people are saying about him, but nobody's admitting it on 360. (Nobody's keepin' him honest...) Has anybody EVER seen Anderson Cooper crack a smile? His face would break. I know, he's gotta keep that movie star glare in case somebody captures a still and pastes it on the cover of Genre. Now who does that leave us with for pundits on CNN...? I'll try to think of some. Even a good one.
Sprints' customer service isnt the only nightmare. When they spun off their land business and called it Embark, it was a new nightmare. Billing screw ups galore and then the bill collectors hounded me YEARS afterwards. You paid, and they would STILL keep calling. I thought I dumped sprint when I moved to ATT and now they are still billing me for phones I don't have/use. Incompetent AND belligerent.
