'Bachna Ae Haseeno' team feels hard work paid off

Mumbai (PTI): The team of "Bachna Ae Haseeno" is overwhelmed by the response the film has got from the audience and said the "hard work of the unit has really paid off".

"We all are really happy to receive such response from our audience. The hard work has really paid off," said the film's director Siddharth Raj Anand on Thursday.

The team made its first media appearance at the Yashraj Studio here to celebrate the initial success of the movie after its release last week. Besides Anand, actors Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Hiten Paintal, and dialogue writer and lyricist Anvita Dutt Gupta were present during the event.

"Though ratings given by trade analysts and media count, the verdict given by the audience is more important. Their appreciation motivates us to come up with new package of innovative ideas," he said.

Ranbir said the movie has performed to "our expectations and it's time to celebrate its success. We have proved ourselves by connecting with the audiences".

According to Deepika, a movie being a hit or not doesn't matter, what matters is the reaction of the audience.

"The masses have related themselves to the characters. Though my role was small but small things comes in good packages," she said.

Bipasha has been acclaimed from the audience and critics alike for her second movie under the Yash Raj banner.

"Every time you work for a film, you have a different feeling, the only thing that doesn't change is the eagerness to know the result of the movie," Basu said.
