A man from the Shropshire border has denied murdering his wife.
Alan Stead, of Meynell Fields, Loggerheads, denied murdering Anita Stead when he appeared at Stafford Crown Court yesterday.
Mrs Stead died from smoke inhalation after a fire at her home in Newcastle-under-Lyme in 2002.
