A STRING of former Worcester St John's riders will be going for glory at the club's road race tomorrow.
Ian Treadwell (Beacon RC), Marcus Walker (Bush Healthcare), Adrian Bird, Paul Dring, Steve Dring (all Echelon-Spuik) and Ian Fagan (Paramount) are among 70 riders competing. Matt Stephens (Sigmasport/Specialized/Sportful), Richard Cartand and Mathew Higgins (Team Corley) are the elite competitors.
The race starts at 10.30am and runs over 125km and six laps of the Kinnersley and Severn Stoke circuit.
The action gets going at the Baynhall Garage, Kempsey. More than 50 riders turned up for the Broadheath five-mile time trial won by Steve Price. Next Tuesday, the club will meet by the new bridge at 7pm for a 19.5-mile race.
