Reflective Novel Uncovers Sound Biblical Teachings in Sin City

New Christian book documents characters' spiritual union with God

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) May 17, 2008 -- Philippines-born Christian author Rudy A. Pizarro's newest Xulon Press release, The Holy Trinity and the Gambler (paperback, 978-1-60647-244-6), recently made its debut--and its message rings clear in this day and age. The fictional Internet dialogue, told through the eyes of a child, philosopher, and semanticist, presents a new point of view of the biblical teachings of Jesus. The story is set at "Where True Peace Lies," a two-acre garden retreat in Las Vegas. The characters--which include a born-again ex-convict named Dan whose brainchild, an Internet dialogue, is what much of the story revolves around; his African-American ex-convict prison mate named Buster, who becomes Dan's first convert; and George, a billionaire-philanthropist who becomes the team's financial backing--all come to a realization of the truth through Dan's message, which begins to spread like ripples in a pond.

Says the author of his first work of fiction, "The Holy Trinity and the Gambler is a search of the Holy Spirit, the truth that makes man disciplined and intelligent. Ignorance of it could lead him to death and destruction. A preacher [once said, 'Deny the Trinity and you lose your soul. Try to prove it and you lose your mind.' The proof is presented in the book."

Pizarro studied mathematical proof in college as well as semantics, reading the works of Bertrand Russel, David Hume, and others. He has attempted to imbue his book's characters with the same analytical nature, tracing their journey through to a spiritual union with God. Ultimately, he hopes this will help lead readers to an understanding of the truth of the Trinity.

Xulon Press, a part of Salem Communications Corporation, is the world's largest Christian publisher, with more than 5,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order The Holy Trinity and the Gambler through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors. Salem Communications is the country's leading Christian communications company with interests in radio, Internet, and magazine publishing.
