This phrase as many quote is simply enough to describe the grandeour of this city. Am here till Monday and trust me…its not enough to even cover 1% of Rome!!! Its like cake, a new layer is made on the existing layer - and damn amazing to see the differences in age in the same buildings!!
AIM: Take up some short courses on the Roman History, Christian History, Italian Language course, small amount of Latin, come back and visit this place may be for a month or so haha.
Anyways highlights:
Colosseum and the Palentine Hills: Its Ruins haha…:p but great. I’ve seen two wonders now!!
Piazza Venezia: Cute
Capitoline Hill: Michelangelo again!!
Vatican City: HUGE Q to the St. Peter’s Basilica, go there tomorrow?
Vatican Musems - SISTINE CHAPEL: Definitely a clean strike, one probably needs weeks to enjoy this magnificiant collection of artefacts. Sistine Chapel is breathstopping. So much detail and the entire room is filled with frescos - The Ceiling - amazing. The Creation of Man, is simply superb. The Last Judgement - I couldn’t analyze so much detail and the museum was closing for the day. Hence a book haha.
PS: I’ve spent a lot on Guides and Books on museums in Munich and Italy. Have like 10 books already
I like this pic of David I took at Florence - The Intervention of the sunlight from the clouds shadows all the amazing expressions on the huge David replica at the Piazza Michelangelo leaving only the contours.
