Blazers hope to beat lottery odds again

UCLA's Kevin Love looks at Russell Westbrook as they celebrate their 77-67 overtime win over Stanford in Los Angeles Thursday, March 6, 2008.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oregon's primary election is May 20th, but you can forgive Trail Blazer fans if their minds are on Kevin Love and O.J. Mayo instead of Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

The primary falls on the same day as the NBA draft lottery, and fans are anxious to see if lightning strikes twice.

The Trail Blazers beat the odds to win the lottery a year ago, but their .500 record this past season makes them much more of a longshot to win a high pick this time around.

The Trail Blazers have a 2.2 percent chance of choosing in the top three.
