The 76ers would love to sign Andre Miller to a contract extension, but the point guard is lacking one necessary element: an agent. Former agent Lon Stefanski no longer represents Miller, who has one year and $10 million left on his contract. (PhillyBurbs.com)
Hornets changing up logo

O'Neal says he's healthy
One constant with Jermaine O’Neal the last few years is that he’s always injured. Of course, along with that comes the familiar pre-season refrain that O’Neal is “finally” fealing healthy. Despite having a new team this season, O’Neal is singing the same chorus and verse. “All the naysayers who are saying that I lost a step, they'll get a full dosage of me next year,” he said. (SI.com)
Heat checking out big man Magloire
Miami is hurting for a big man so the team is apparently checking out 6'11" Jamaal Magloire today. The 30-year-old averaged 8.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game over the course of his eight-year career. (Miami Herald)
Knicks' Gallinari's allegiances changing
Knicks first-round pick Danilo Gallinari has apparently told Italy that he won't be playing hoop for them right now even thought the team wanted him to suit up for its Eurobasket Qualifier against Serbia. Gallinari's back is apparently still bothering my from an injury he suffered during the summer league in Vegas and he doesn't want to hinder his chances to start the season off strong with the Knicks. After all, he's pretty much the only big player change the dismal Knicks made this off-season. (New York Post)
Giricek headed to Turkey?
Word is that Gordan Giricek, who has done a fair amount of traveling between teams in the NBA, has signed a two-year contract to play for the Turkish team Fenerbahce. Taking a page from fellow NBA escapee Josh Childress, the contract apparently lets Giricek opt out next summer and return to the NBA if he so chooses with no penalty. Go Fenerbahce! (HoopsWorld)
