CHENNAI: Chennai-based psychiatrist R. Ponnudurai has been awarded Dr. B.C. Roy National Award this year.

Dr. Ponnudurai had served as director of the Institute of Mental Health, Kilpauk, and head of the department of psychiatry, Madras Medical College. He is currently professor and head of the department of Psychiatry at Sri Ramachandra University, Porur. — Special Correspondent
