Worldwide Industrial Marketplace Responds To Asia Disasters
Westboro, MA - Worldwide Industrial Marketplace, a US-Asia and Middle East Industrial Supply Directory and Marketplace has called for webmasters of Web sites across the globe to show their support for the victims of the Asia disasters in China and Burma by displaying a donation link to the Red Cross or World Vision on their home page.
According to CNN, China's officials believe the death toll from this week's massive earthquake which registered a magnitude of 7.5 could reach 50,000. CNN reported nearly all the confirmed deaths were in Sichuan Province, but rescuers were hindered because roads linking it to the provincial capital, Chengdu, were damaged.
USA Today reported the deaths in Burma could reach 10,000. "Both disasters are just devastating and right now getting emergency teams to survivors with food, water and aid is crucial," says Conrad Bailey, spokesperson for Worldwide Industrial. He added ,"Even a modest donation of $25 or more to World Vision or the Red Cross can help devastated children and families in need."

Bailey has called for companies with a Web site to include a 'donation link' on their home page to the charity of their choice involved in helping victims of these two disasters. He explained, "Our goal is to get thousands of Web sites in the next 48 hours to display a donation link on their home page. It could make a world of difference in the number of donations generated worldwide and the additional aid could help save a lot of people that are still alive."
