AN alcoholic has appeared in court charged with being drunk and disorderly outside his home in Orford.

Warrington Magistrates' Court heard on Thursday that Robert Bold, aged 37, of St Peters Way, had been on a 12-hour drinking binge on Friday, April 18.

From 10am to 10pm he consumed four pints of Becks, 19 double whiskies, one litre of sherry, one litre of vodka and one and a half litres of whisky.

He was seen by a police officer in the street outside his home shouting abuse, hitting himself in the head and swearing loudly in the street, saying he had come out of his house as his neighbour was playing music too loudly.

Bold, who has 40 previous convictions, was also charged with possession of cannabis.

His case was adjourned until June 10 for a drug rehabiltation assessment.
