Concert - Alizee

Alizee

You probably remember that song in French which had only one familiar word in it. Yes, of course I'm talking about Lolita and Alizee's most popular song "Moi...Lolita."

This is not only how Nabokov helps young girls to become, if not international stars, than at least hit-makers. Alizee is from Corsica and she is not only a singer, but also a talented dancer. In the times of her songs dominating the charts everybody used to compare Alizee to Britney Spears, calling her the French answer to America. But, oops, she was even younger than Britney in those days - in 2001 Alizee was just 16, and was voted the most promising newcomer artist at both the M6 and NRJ Music Awards.

In addition, she became the French female singer with the highest record sales in 2001. In the end, Alizee hasn't become Britney Spears. She never made any international hits after "Lolita" nor is she abusing drugs and getting undressed in public.

This girl is a young and beautiful married mother who can still sing you Mylene Farmer's songs.

Joe Cocker

There are not so many talented singers among those who sing in pop rock music style. Joe Cocker belongs to those who can sing. He was also known as Vance Arnold when he opened for The Rolling Stones in concert. Then Cocker released his first single and started to be just Cocker. He performed the opening set at Woodstock ‘94 as one of the few alumni who played at the original Woodstock Festival in 1969, and was very well received. He continues to tour sporadically, and currently lives on the Mad Dog Ranch in Crawford, Colorado, with his wife, Pam. What else to say about him? Oh, well, he's in British Guiness Book for his singles.

Brainstorm

These charming Latvian guys are very famous in Russia for their husky voices and relaxing rock music. It's hard to believe the band was formed almost 20 years ago as their hits are always on top of the rock charts. At the beginning of 2006 the band released English verse album "Four Shores." The lead single "Thunder Without Rain" became popular in a major part of Eastern Europe and had a big airplay on the MTV Europe and VH1 Europe. That year the band received the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Baltic Act.

Zucchero

This singer is known for his great hits "Senza una donna", "Baila Morena", "Miserere" and gained a very prestigious award - "World's Best Selling Italian Artist." He is equally successful in blues, soul, rock n' roll, pop, funk and even disco.

Zucchero means "sugar" in Italian, and it was the schoolboy nickname of Adelmo Fornachiari. His album Miserere was the most successful one and in 2007 Zucchero released his Fly album. During his world-tour, which started after the release, Zucchero is going to visit Moscow too.
