The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Giza is situated at the border of desert west to the Nile. Consist of three pyramids: Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), Pyramid of Khafre and Pyramid of Menkaure. Only the Great Pyramid of Khufu, not all three Great Pyramids, is on top of the list of Wonders of the World.

Great Pyramid of Khufu is 138 m (452 ft) tall and was constructed from 2 and half millions limestones blockstones with average weight 2 and half tons. It was ranked for the tallest structure on Earth for 43 centuries. Each side is oriented with one of the cardinal points of the compass to north, south, east, and west. Complex is weight 6 millions tons. Great Pyramid is constructed with maximum precision. The maximum error between each side is less than two centimetres. Ground plan is square with 227,5 m (745 ft) long each side. Greek historian Herodotus estimated that construction may have required 100,000 workers for 20 years.

In theory The Great Pyramid of Giza was the Pharaoh grovestone. But in the 9^th century AC was official delegation in Great Pyramid of Khufu and nothing was found.

Entrance is situated in north side. Is 18 m (59 ft) tall. Great Gallery is 46,6 m (151 ft) long and lead to the King's burial chamber. Here is situated sharp-edged stone over the doorway which is over 3 m (10 ft) long, 2.4 m (8 ft) high and 1.3 m (4 ft) thick. Here´s found also ceder´s boat which is 43,6m (141 ft) long. Today is exposed in Solar- Barque Museum near pyramids. These boat was dedicated to transfer the king to the new life.

Along 160 m (525 ft) is situated Pyramid of Khafre. Is 136,6 m (446 ft)  tall and each side has 210,5 m (689 ft). The smallest Pyramid of Menkaure is 62 m (203 ft) tall and each side has 108 m (354 ft).

Near Great Pyramid of Giza is situated Sphinx, which guard pyramids. This all three pyramids are part of complex, which included some temples, tombs and smaller pyramids which was dedicated for king´s women and are incompleted.
