Brown happy with preparation

Hull City boss Phil Brown believes his side are 'mentally prepared' for their second leg clash with Watford on Wednesday.

The Tigers are in firm control of their semi-final Championship play-off clash against The Hornets following a 2-0 victory at Vicarage Road.

Brown fully expects Adrian Boothroyd's side to attack from the off at The KC Stadium, although he has played down suggestions his side could sit back and defend in numbers.

"We get to this situation and we've got to deal with a 2-0 half-time score where the opposition have had two and a half days to prepare for coming out of that changing room again and throwing everything at you, which I fully expect," explained Brown.

Mentally prepared

"You've got be mentally prepared to stand up to that, and if you're not you might as well not be here now.

"I want 26/27 players that are mentally prepared and from what I've seen on the training ground over the last couple of days I think I've got that.

"The players are very relaxed, very focused, very competitive and very up for it. All the players seem to be focused on the job in hand.

"We are going to focus on 90 minutes of football where we are fully intending on winning the game tomorrow night. It's not going to be a case of trying to draw. We've got to try and win the game."
