Elvis leaves the building
Kind hearted staff at Cross Country Trains helped speed a rescue-home dog on his way to a new life in the Channel Isles.
The dog, named Elvis, was rescued by Manchester Dogs Home. Here he was consistently over looked by prospective owners because of a facial disfiguration. Elvis is a mongrel and admits he’s nothin’ but a hound dog. Destined for life in the ghetto he was rescued by the team.
After appearing on ‘Dog Rescue’ on television a lady living on Alderney in the Channel Islands promised to love him tender and offered him a home. Cross Country provided free tickets for Elvis and Manchester Dogs Home kennel manager Colin Ballance for an epic journey - way down - from Manchester to Southampton. Elvis has settled down well on Alderney, although after Manchester he reports a little less conversation.
